Biography

Mark Edward Czekaj has been teaching, coaching and entertaining corporate audiences across North America for over a decade. From the boardroom to the shop floor, his knowledge, insight and sense of humor has captivated audiences of all backgrounds and disciplines. He has made it his life’s mission to help others make a difference.

An adjunct faculty member at the Wayne State University- School of Business Administration, Mark is an accomplished business educator, consultant and public speaker. He has trained over 10,000 individuals nationally for clients including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Nextel Communications, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Damler Chrysler, Comerica Bank, Zurich International and the Department of Homeland Security. His experience has crossed a variety of industries including healthcare, automotive, insurance, communications, finance and franchising.

In addition to his speaking and training career, Mark has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience with Safeguard Business Systems and American Express. He has developed and managed major corporate sales organizations across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Mark is a graduate of the University of Michigan. His ideas on business and management have been published by the American Management Association. He served as a member of the International Franchise Association in Washington, D.C.

As a speaker and trainer, Mark tailors his programs to the specific needs of his clients. Programs are fun, hard hitting and provocative. The scope of Mark’s expertise includes sales training, performance and change management, customer service, teambuilding and business process improvement. He is a skilled facilitator, keynote speaker, program designer and teacher. Mark and his wife, Stacy, reside in Dearborn, Michigan.

First Five fees are available for the first five days booked in a given month, a minimum of 6 months in advance.
Short-Range fees are available to clients who make use of days remaining within a 45-day window.
Non-Profit fees are always available to qualified charitable organizations.
Detroit fees are available for engagements within a 1-hour driving radius of the area.
Standard fees apply to all other engagements.
Participant Materials fees apply to all engagements.
Consulting Fee Schedule

As consultants, we sell our time. With our time comes all of the knowledge, skill and experience we’ve gained -- focused on whatever you need. Different clients have different needs – and different needs require different relationships. With that in mind, here are the guidelines:

A Standard Contract features a reducing rate as hours accumulate over the course of the entire relationship:

The initial 10 hours are paid in advance. Additional hours are billed as they are used, with a 2 hour minimum session. Terms are Net 10 Days. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the client.
A Retained Contract reserves an agreed upon number of hours to work on a client’s projects each month. The hourly rate is determined by the number of hours reserved for a given month:
10-24 hours $250/hr 25-50 hours $200/hr
All Retained Contracts begin on the 1st of the month. Minimum reservation is 10 hours per month -- maximum is 50. 2 hour minimum session. The retained rate only applies to the number of hours reserved. Retainers are paid in advance. Unused hours are forfeited. Hours in excess of those reserved are billable at the full Standard Contract rate in effect at the time the overage occurs. Overtime hours are billed separately – terms are Net 10 Days. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the client. One month written notice is required to cancel a retained relationship.
